Working on a new replacement OEM seat cover – and it has to be re-dyed. My OEM Nissan gray from my vendor is not matching or I thought is wasn’t – might be a custom blend perhaps on this seat? I don’t know yet. Below is base coat on left – OEM on right – it’s a lighter gun-metal gray that I call it that color. I am re-dyeing a lighter shade of gray on the new seat cover… ( almost Procol Harum Lighter Shade Of Pale!!! ) Color is Charcoal Graphite. Turns out that Nissan 2006 sample on the right is actually off by a lot – The Charcoal Graphite is actually as dark as the base coat.
The two biggest items in auto leather/vinyl repair is color and texture/grain.
